ASIMO was a huge hit at the International RoboCup Federation’s first American Open held at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA.   RoboCup teams, distinguished faculty of the University and invited guests got a sneak peek at ASIMO during a special demonstration at the RoboCup Opening Ceremonies.  Then, over the following three days at RoboCup, more than 4000 people saw soccer-playing robots, search-and-rescue robots, and the world’s most advanced humanoid robot, ASIMO.  By the last day of the event, so many people had heard about ASIMO’s amazing abilities, that the line of those anxiously awaiting the show stretched hundreds of feet out the door, around the corner and up a set of stairs.  Those who could not get into the gymnasium to say “hello” to ASIMO in person watched a simulcast of the show in a nearby auditorium.

Don’t miss your chance to see ASIMO.  Please check the tour schedule often to see when ASIMO might be visiting a city near you!
