ASIMO's Travels


A Recap of ASIMO's travels in North America From January 2003 through March 2005, ASIMO toured the U.S. and Canada, visiting 17 states and 3 Canadian provinces and demonstrated its abilities to more than 130,000 people.
Throughout 2003-2004, the ASIMO North American Educational Tour visited top science and technology museums and institutions across North America and introduced more than 80,000 people to Honda's humanoid robot, ASIMO. The tour encouraged and inspired students to study science through a live, high-tech stage show highlighting ASIMO’s unique capabilities. Through the 2004-2005 academic year, the ASIMO Technology Circuit Tour visited top engineering and computer science colleges and universities across the U.S. to encourage students to consider careers in the sciences. Through the tour, more than 50,000 people witnessed ASIMO walk forward and backward, interact with a host, dance and climb and descend a set of stairs.
