ASIMO said "hello" to Alabama in Talladega! March 7-9, 2003
ASIMO said "hello" to thousands of fans at the Talladega International Motor Sports Hall of Fame during its stop in Alabama!

In Talladega, Alabama, NASCAR is king.  However, on March 7th, 8th and 9th, 2003 NASCAR took the backseat to a special guest appearing at the International Motor Sports Hall of Fame on behalf of Honda Manufacturing of Alabama.  ASIMO, the world’s most advanced humanoid robot, received waves of applause as it walked, danced and climbed stairs for audiences of up to 1,200 people per demonstration.  Hundreds of cameras flashed as ASIMO disco-danced with kids and helped contestants answer questions in an ASIMO quiz.  By the end of the three-day event, over 11,000 children and adults had said “hello” to ASIMO.

If you missed ASIMO in Talladega, just get your motor in gear and head over to SciTrek, the Science and Technology Museum of Georgia, the next stop on the "Say Hello to ASIMO" North American Educational Tour.
